Erika & Eric | Toronto Ward’s Island Winter Engagement

Remember that huge ice storm we had that basically took out the power in half the city through christmas and new years?  Well, the resulting effect of it (well during the day at least) was absolutely stunning!  Cold..yes!  Icy…yes! But was it worth the trek out to the islands?!  HECK YA!  There was a specific cut out in the ice on the lake for the ferry to go back and forth!  Crazy!

I’m so glad that both Erika and Eric were both game for heading out into the icy fields for their engagement session!  We wanted it to look cozy, fun and romantic and I think we achieved just that!  They found an old toboggan for the shoot, hot water to make the hot chocolate with mashmallows (YES, MASHMALLOWS!!!) and this GORGEOUS red throw!  Love it when we can use props for the engagement session!

I think walking out onto the frozen lake for the skyline photo basically wraps up this romantic winter engagement with a bow on top!  See more of their images featured on Lemonade and Lenses!
