Mandy & Nick | Sunflower Field Engagement

A SUNFLOWER FIELD ENGAGEMENT SESSION!!! Finally I have a couple that wants to visit this with me! When Mandy suggested either a sunflower field or a lavender field, I jumped at the opportunity to see these bright yellow flowers myself! I felt like a little girl at a toy store when I arrived! I had to contain myself and not let myself run around the field like some maniac! haha We arrived near the tail end of the season so the flowers were not standing as tall as they would have, but you really couldn’t tell in the photos. Edwards Farm was gracious enough to allow us to shoot there and we made sure we made epic images! Mandy and Nick’s smiles are so contagious and I left the shoot all giddy and happy!

I was so worried about bees before coming, but luckily there really wasn’t that many, and I was quite surprised.  I’ve never been stung by a bee before, but I was prepare to risk it if it meant getting the shot!  I recall I kept checking the sun again and again because there was a shot that I wanted, and that was the shot of them in the middle of the field and the sunset was right behind him.  As a Toronto Wedding Photographer, we’re constantly chasing the sunset and racing against the clock.  Wouldn’t it be nice to shoot in Iceland where the golden hour in June is like….3 hours long, so it’s really more like..golden hourS!

So…anyone want to do another sunflower field engagement session with me this coming season?
